Cake Care

It's important to take care of your cake, please take the time read the important information in our cake care guide, to ensure your cake is taken care of to best enjoy it!

• Once you have collected your cake, you are responsible for it

• Keep your cake level at all times

• Lift the cake from the bottom of the box

• Transport your cake in the boot of your car, with no loose objects

• Drive smoothly & carefully with no sudden movements

• Travel directly to your venue, do not leave your cake in the car

• Keep your cake away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat

If your cake is made with buttercream: 

• Store it in the refrigerator and remove it 30 minutes before serving in warm weather or 2 hours before serving if it is cold weather

If your cake is made with dairy free buttercream:

• Store it in the refrigerator and remove it just before serving in warm weather, or 15 minutes before serving if it is cold weather

​

If your cake is made with fondant: 

• Store it in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat

​

When the time comes to cutting your cake, the best way to cut it is in squares or rectangles, not like a pizza! Please refer to the following cutting guides, which also help to see how many slices you can yield from your cake.
